JSCB "Universal bank" announces new appointments within its corporate governance structure:
🔹 Durdona Kadirova Lukmanovna has been elected as an Independent Member of the Bank’s Supervisory Board.
🔹 Ulugbek Tavakkalov has been appointed Advisor to the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
These appointments represent an important milestone in the implementation of Universal Bank’s transformation strategy, aimed at building a Next-generation Bank that combines advanced digital technologies, customer-centric services, efficient business processes, innovative products, and best-in-class corporate governance practices.
Strengthening the Bank’s governance framework and leveraging international expertise will support the accelerated execution of strategic initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and create additional value for customers, shareholders, and business partners.
Durdona Kadirova Lukmanovna brings more than 30 years of international experience in banking, investment management, corporate governance, and the development of financial institutions. Throughout her career, she has worked with international financial organizations, investment funds, and banking institutions across Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Middle East.
She serves as an Independent Director and Chair of Board Committees within financial institutions and has extensive expertise in strategic development, business transformation, investment attraction, and the enhancement of corporate governance effectiveness.
Ulugbek Uktamovich Tavakkalov possesses substantial experience in the banking sector and in the strategic development of financial institutions. His expertise will contribute to the Bank’s continued growth and the successful implementation of its key strategic priorities and transformation initiatives.
The strengthening of the Supervisory Board and its advisory capabilities will support the successful execution of the Bank’s transformation agenda, further development of its digital ecosystem, enhancement of corporate governance standards, improvement of decision-making effectiveness, and the establishment of a sustainable platform for long-term growth.
