
Universal bank to Place USD 10 Million in Bonds on the Local Market
Universal bank is placing corporate bonds with a total value of USD 10 million on the local capital market.
As part of the issuance, 100,000 registered uncertificated bonds with a nominal value of USD 100 each will be issued. The bonds will have a maturity of 730 days, with a coupon yield of 8.5% per annum. Coupon payments will be made every 90 days.
The bonds will be placed on the Bond Market of the “Toshkent” Republican Stock Exchange through an open subscription, with no restrictions on the range of investors. BIRINCHI BANKLARARO DEPOZITARIY LLC will act as the underwriter and broker for the issuance.
The placement will begin 15 days after the publication of information on the state registration of the issue and will continue for 365 calendar days from the date of state registration.
On the first day of each interest period, the bonds will be sold at their nominal value. On subsequent days, the price will include the accrued coupon income.
The issuance is being carried out within the framework of the “Regulatory Sandbox” special legal regime introduced by Presidential Decree No. PF-254 dated December 18, 2025, “On Additional Measures to Improve the Investment Environment in the Capital Market.”
The procedure for the issuance, placement and circulation of bonds denominated in foreign currency is governed by the relevant regulation registered with the Ministry of Justice on April 29, 2026. Under the regulation, the total amount of a single issuer’s outstanding foreign-currency-denominated bonds may not exceed USD 50 million.
Through this issuance, Universal bank continues to develop financing instruments in the local capital market and offers investors a new financial instrument denominated in foreign currency.
